Columbia Blacktail deer Willamette Valley

Monday, January 31 2011

This hunt is one I have personally done several times.  It takes place on private land and has a very high success rate.  If you can shoot straight and pay attention to your guide I am confident you will bag a good blacktail deer.  Cost is 3500.00 which includes guide, meals while hunting and transportation each day.  Your buck will be taken to a processor at aditional cost if you wish.  Taxidermy can be arranged if you need.

You will be responsible for your travel cost to and from the airport as well as a motel.  Each day your guide will pick you up and drop you off at your room.  This has proven to be the most cost affective way to run this hunt.

Lucky for you a deer tag is available over the counter. visit Oregon department of fish and game for general information on the western blacktail deer hunt.  Hunter orange is not required for 18 and older. There is a archery season late Aug.- Sept. Rifle opens first 2 weeks of Oct. and again the last week or so.  Black powder is a draw and typically is the first week of Nov. This photo was in 2010 when we were dress to kill.

Dandy buck, not sure on the hairdressing! Hiding the idenity of the subject.

As you and I know hunting in the Willamette Vally without private is tough and one should never apply for any of the tags unless they have access or own a boat. I am not sure if my customers are going to go for the 3500 bucks as they will telll me they can hunt for a big bull for about the same. Anyway thanks and keep me in the loop on deals that you have. I had a fellow today contact me on using his muzzleloader tag...
