Mule Deer Madness

Thursday, April 09 2009

Hello Hello Hello!!!  It is time to start planing your 2011 mule deer hunts. Many of you know I have been very fortunate to have hunted all over Western United States and Canada.  There are a few favorite places that I can highly recomend for a solid mule deer.  Many hunters tag out in the first day of their hunt and never see the 130,000 private acers. At no cost to you I am at yor service to help you book a hunt with a reliable outfitter who can deliver quality hunts for $3500  This is one of many good bucks I have taken while on this hunt.

The deer hunts take place in the Eastern part of Montana. Badlands, rolling Pine Hills, gumbo canyons and agriculture land are the typical terrain. Glassing, stalking and some blind hunting are typical styles used.  Bow hunting is a great option while combo hunting for antelope. Bucks in this area are typically 24", but most hunters will have an above average opportunity with a buck in the 24" to 27" range with 30" or more being a real possibility. We ask all hunters to please try to maintain a 24" 4x4 (western count) minimum.

Season: Starts mid October through the last weekend in November. You can mix prong horn on the hunt for additional fees. provide prong horn season is open during your mule deer hunt dates. You can shoot a white tail buck on your mule deer tag and there are some wopper white tail in the 150-160 class.

This Mule deer hunt takes place in the Powder River area of Montana. Been there and it is one of the best hunts you will book. Lots of game.

Booked this hunt through Rick and it far exceeded my expectations. First class outfitter, great lodging and meals. With over 130 K acres of private ranch land to hunt, the hardest part of the hunt is staying on mule deer when you are seeing trophy class whitetail everyday. I will be back.
