Why Protect Only Your Scope Len's, When You Can Protect Your scope body at the same time from scratches, bumps and bruises?
Scopes today are as big of an investment as the gun itself and for pennies on the dollar you can protect your investment and improve the life of your scope.
With the universal fit of the ScopeShield you can transfer the cover from a 60mm, 50mm or 40mm scope bell. Other Len's covers are specific to size and fit, making it difficult to purchase the correct size to cover the Lens.
There are three basic attributes that any scope protection device designed for hunting should have:
Protection, Simplicity, and Speed
1. Protection - It MUST protect both scope lenses from any weather or field condition confronted without failing. Rain, Snow, Dust, Dirt, Mud, Etc. - None of these conditions should alter the scope protection device or any of it's protective functions in any way.
2. Simplicity - It must be dependable and easy to use while hunting.
3. Speed - It must not slow down the hunter or his reactions in any way.
Unfortunately, most scope protection devices seen in the field are lacking in one or more of these three basic attributes, and no other scope protection device will help in as many ways as ScopeShield is designed to do.
ScopeShield is made of neoprene, with a quick release tab at one end, and a recovery strap on the other. ScopeShield stretches to cover the entire scope, covering both lenses and the body of the scope. If you have a 12" scope you would want a 11" ScopeShield for a snug fit. Each ScopeShield will stretch 1-1/2" - 2". The larger the ScopeShield the more the material which in turn gives you more stretch to work with. A 12" cover will fit a 13 1/2 -14" scope
If you use a scabbard when hunting you are aware of the down side to scope Len's covers. Scope protection devices I have seen or used WILL HANG UP going into and out of a scabbard, becoming more of a nuisance than an asset, and with a scopeshield those issues are gone.
While traveling in a vehicle to and from your hunting area this added padding to your scope is priceless. When traveling by plane you have an extral level of protection with your equipment that other scope protection cannot provide. Baggage handlers are not concerned about your items and in my experience I have wittnessed abusive treatment to gun cases which can lead to a disapointing hunting experience.
