Our straps are designed for connecting your binocular to a split ring. Most binocular lugs are made of an alloy (magnesium) that holds up to the split ring wear or friction. However some folks get concerned for the anodized coating on the binocular lug. Our strap will prevent visual wear on the lug. The less hardware you use with your binocular harness the less swing you will experience.  Our strap is very short, which is to the users advantage in controlling the swing.

Breaking point is 40 lbs with one strap.  A pair of straps broke at 80 pounds. These straps are robust and will serve you for many years.

Seems like a good product but doesn’t fit

Posted by Josh T on 2nd Jan 2021

Purchased these to adapt Nikon pro staff 7S 10x42 Binos onto the badlands Bino Pack rings. These do not fit through the loop holes on the Nikon Binos nor do they fit on the rings in the badlands pack. Shipping was fast and the product seems good. Deducted two stars because they didn’t fit my Binos

To Josh: The lug on binoculars are designed to fit a strap through them but most do allow room for a split ring. We also molded a rubber strap to aid in the tight fitting binos and prevent metal to metal contact for our customers in this situation. Vortex has also rubber coated some models to protect the lug from wear and our rubber straps really help fit in the tight tolerance.

I like these because they are simple and elegant. BTW... my other review was for the extra clips.

    Exactly what I hoped for

Posted by Keith Porter on 22nd Sep 2020

I bought one of Rick’s harnesses and love it too. I picked up the extra hardware clips as well, I just like using a traditional neck strap when knocking around close to home. I attached these to the strap that came with my binos and can now switch back and forth quickly - click of, click on - easy peasy. Also appreciated the quick answers to my questions about the product. Think about that folks. That’s first class customer service.

    Binocular Connection Straps

Posted by Neil Shelley on 30th Jun 2020

I love my binocular harness - these are absolutely essential and short be an integral part of each one. I’ve been using my harness for approximately four years on my Swarovski EL-10X42s and a few days ago the steel rings on the harness wore through the lugs on the binoculars. So check your binoculars and order some of these straps ASAP!

    Bino Connection Straps

Posted by Terry Kramer on 28th May 2020

Got a couple sets of these to use on my Swarovski CL 10X25's. I've got the new CLs, and the original with out rubberized armor . The connections are very small rectangular steel protrusions. These RYO connectors work excellent. Now my ultra light CL's can use the RYO bino straps for my chukar hunts!

    Works as advertised

The connection straps work well. Way better than fighting with the split rings and marking up the binoculars.
