There are several suspension systems on the market today for binoculars and range finders but none like this one. Watch the video provided and compare. The idea of having your bino's readily accessible is a good one, but traditional suspension systems are bulky and they stretch out and sag. Our USA mfg shock cord does not get soft and lose its elastic strength or memory. The shock cord grips or hugs your body and transfers the weight of your binoculars equally around your shoulder and chest without digging into your skin or body. Unlike the wide flat strap harnesses our round cord will not vibrate or flutter in the wind. After countless years of field testing and now thousands of happy customers I think it's safe to say that we have reinvented the bino harness from the ground up. Fast single point adjustment allows you to quickly fit the harness to your change of clothing. Never again will your binos be down at your belt line.

Advantages of the Ultra-light Bino Harness

    still there....

Posted by Paddy on 24th Mar 2018

Just bought my 4th one, so all my bins permanently equipped. First one 3 years old, and looks like the most recent. Once you're used to them, it's hard to know you're wearing it. Couldn't go back to a lanyard now, and all that bouncing!
Time for a UK outlet, Rick!

    Perfect

Posted by Phil on 29th Jan 2018

This is exactly what I was looking for in a harness. Light and low bulk and with a bit of stretch to keep things from swinging around. The only way to improve this harness I think is to find a way to have clips that can connect directly to the lugs without a split ring / key ring. Maybe just tie the end directly to the lug, but then it is hard to remove. Well done!

RYO Basic ultralight bino harness. simple, innovative and effective.

Posted by Jason O on 10th Jan 2018

Having run the gamut of bino harness designs. I have found the product that fits my needs to the tee. I bowhunt the sub alpine elevations and rughed lava flows on the Big Island of Hawaii. These areas are rugged and some may say extreme when terrain and temperature fluctuations are concerned. All day treks can go from very wet and cold to blistering heat. Here are some points to look at about this bino harness and why I chose it for my needs.
1- lightweight, it almost feels like I have nothing on at all. Every ounce counts when you look at weight management for a full day of stalking, climbing , running etc , especially with a full pack and gear on.
2- harness allows for natural cooling of the body to occur. There are no cumbersome bags, mini packs or large pieces of material to trap in body heat.
3- the innovative ways of positioning on your person is astounding. The harness can be adjusted to all relevant positions that suit the circumstance. Kept higher on the chest and looped once around both the objective lenses keeps it securely snug for stalking. Moved off to the side as to not hamper the bowstring at the shot etc. also these adjustments takes a couple of seconds with minimal practice.
Its adjustability to different sizes is ridiculousy fast. Extremely easy and there is no wasted time fiddling with straps that are twisted or tangled up or feeding them thru tiny buckles. If I take the harness off and put it on my 12 year old son, it will adjust and fit to his size in the blink of an eye. Someones done their homework on this harnesses ease of adjustability.
4- space saver. It is not your typical gangly “birds nest” like others I have used. It stores down to nothing. Stays neat and tidy ready for action.
5- price point , made in the U.S.A is just more icing on the cake.
To sum it up. This is a highly adaptable, very comfortable, simple to use and very practical piece of gear. It is priced right and for my needs ,it definately makes “the gear team”.
For me it is the swiss army knife of bino carry!

Used many 100s of hours; Still Excellent!

Posted by Unknown on 31st Dec 2017

I do a lot of bird surveys for various agencies/organizations. I'm usually off-trail and have to climb over logs/rocks/fences and under branches. I've used this harness for about 3 yrs. It replaced a chest harness; the style you've all seen: criss-cross webbing that goes through a middle piece. That harness eventually stretched so much that it was way too long. Also, when not in use, that style is a pain to wrap up in a small unit for storage/travel. The RYO harness is not only durable but you can wrap the shock cord around the middle of your binos when you need to put it in a bag. Note that I purposely have gone out of my way to make this review; I was not prompted by RYO. Last week, I left my primary set of binos and had to use my backup set which only has a standard padded neck strap. What an annoyance that was: swinging and bouncing off your chest when you're walking or going through difficult country. RYO = 5 STARS!

Won't be able to fully review this product till it is tested in the field. So far, it seems to be exactly as advertised.

Best bino harness on the market

Posted by Elijah Vincent on 30th Dec 2017

Exceptional product! Super light weight and absolutely no bulk. Far superior adjustability design compared to other harnesses available. The only harness I am aware of that will give you the option to wear in a variety of ways. And of course...it's an AMERICAN company!
